Our growth story
2009
A group of young people from different percussion groups in and around the Segarra region came together with the same idea: to experience different languages through percussion. The evolution of the percussion group has been marked by research into new disciplines such as theatre, dance, voice and music. The result was the creation of our own unique language that seeks to move the audience through cohesion, purity and authenticity.
2017
We premiered our first show EMORIÔ at Fira Tàrrega. This was an initial static street creation, a sincere compilation of the rhythms and emotional states of the group, creating an emotional journey through different musical styles and incorporating the languages of song and dance, all with a steampunk aesthetic.
2018
SABOR premieres at Fira Mediterrània, a touring show that seeks dialogue with the audience through rhythm, where dance and improvisation become the key elements.
2019
We began a creative process to shed light on a new mission that would define our trajectory: to claim public spaces as a meeting place beyond the crossroads of itineraries. A space to reclaim the identity of those who don’t conform, and the fraternity that unites us all.
At Fira Tàrrega that same year we premiered POSSÊ, the first of a trilogy about community, group and family and a vindication of public spaces. Possê is a cry of hope to recover the streets as a space of coexistence through play, interaction, and positivism.
2020
After the premiere of Possê in its itinerant format, we adapted it to static format to adjust to the needs of the context under the pandemic. Despite global lockdown, we ended the year with about twenty performances, one of them abroad (Festival Ana Desetnica – Slovenia).
2021
In 2021 we start the creation process for our new production, “+”. A medium-large format show whose starting point is the symbol of addition, which becomes a crossroads when placed horizontally on the floor. A crossroads is a common feature of public spaces, a meeting point for strangers.
“+” is the second part of the trilogy which began with Possê and shares the same objective: to claim the streets as a meeting place for strangers. This production becomes a qualitative leap for the company at an artistic level, enhancing movement, interpretation and voice and consolidating our characteristic hybrid language.
That same year, in October we premiered Bagatella at Fira del Turró in Agramunt. A work in progress in a new small-format production, and today we continue to work on its creation and development.
2022
We premiered “+” at Fira Tàrrega, after a year of research, creation, rehearsals and residencies for the new production. We also activated a Verkami to obtain part of the financing. With this medium-large format show, we experienced an internal expansion and evolution, consolidating as a self-managed professional company within the framework of the social and solidarity economy.
This same year we also promoted our training program “Tallers”, an in-house project aimed at sharing art with people beyond our shows while also alleviating the lack of creative spaces in rural areas. We began to offer extracurricular percussion workshops for schools and specific workshops of different disciplines, for all audiences and with our own hybrid methodology.
2024
Today, we continue to work on consolidating the company in the world of street arts, with our hybrid shows. This year we also presented Âcid, itinerant street entertainment with a daring, festive energy. A transformation of our rhythms towards a fresh and impressive sound.
During these years the company has toured the main Fairs and Festivals in Catalonia such as Fira Mediterrània, La Mostra d’Igualada, Fira Tàrrega, l’Esbaiola’t, CircPicat, Festival Mil Maneres, Espai de Carrer, the Danseu Festival, and Festival Al Carrer de Viladecans.
We also performed at international events including the Zsolnay Light Festival in Pécs (Hungary), the Sziget Festival in Budapest (Hungary), Festival d’Aurillac (France), Ana Desetnica in Ljubljana (Slovenia) or Strassen Theater in Holzminden (Germany).
